I visited the Henry Ford Museum this weekend and there was a memorial weekend cerebration going on at the Village (outdoor museum). It was so neat that I felt I was in the Civil War Era! There were many many exhibitions of the Civil War; showing how people lived back then, how soldiers were getting by, the camp sites, both Union and the Confederate side... What I was impressed the most is that it was not a typical display of those. We were able to touch and talk to people who portray the era; they were walking around with us, felt like we were put in the time machine and back to that era.
The firing demonstration was great (and loud!), so was the chivalry demonstration

That's so neat that there were people in that setting so that visitors could feel as if they were visiting that era!! Is that just for the memorial weekend or is this museum always doing this?
Tamakichi, it was really neat certainly! It was just the memorial weekend only exhibition. I believe there are different cerebrations for the Independence day or so...
